Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia assured on Saturday that gang culture will be uprooted from Dhaka.
The police commissioner told this to newsmen while observing the security condition on Hossaini Dalan premises this morning ahead of Ashura.
The DMP has taken a zero-tolerance policy against the gang culture, Asaduzzaman Mia assured that no anarchy will be happen in the Tazia procession. The DMP has already taken steps to avert the chaos by imposing a ban on carrying any sharp weapons or objects in the procession.
He also said, “All gangs will be identified. The word gang will be no more in future.”
Around 110 member of teen gang were detained from Hatirjheel area in the capital on Friday night.
