An Assistant Proctor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) resigned on Wednesday night.
Assistant Proctor Dr Md Nazmul Haque submitted his resignation letter to the registrar. In the letter Nazmul cited personal reasons for his resignation.
A four-member team of University Grants Commission (UGC) led by Dr Mohammad Alamgir is now visiting the varsity to investigate the overall situation on the campus.
During the visit, the team will talk with the agitating students, teachers of the university and others.
The movement of the agitating students entered the eighth consecutive day on Thursday. (observer)
