Jubo League has expelled Ismail Hossain Samrat and his aide Enamul Haque Arman from the party, hours after they were arrested.
Jubo League general secretary Md Harun-or-Rashid confirmed their expulsion as Dhaka South unit Jubo League president and vice-president respectively.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the former Jubo League leaders Samrat and Arman from a house in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla early Sunday for their alleged link with running casinos at different sporting clubs in Dhaka.
The RAB has began a drive at arrested Samrat’s Kakrail office ‘Bhuiyan Trade Centre’ in the afternoon. (observer)
