A reporting team of the privately-run TV channel NEWS24 came under attack at Nayabazar in the capital by terrors connected with Illegal bond tariff around 2:00 pm on Tuesday.
The miscreants beat up the journalists, snatched away their camera and backpacks and also vandalised the car of the TV channel, victim journalist Fakhrul Islam said.
Witnesses said, “A team of the TV channel NEWS24 went to the spot as part of their official duty. A group of terrors linked with Illegal bond tariff swooped on them while they were discharging their duties.
Reporter Fakhrul Islam and cameraperson Sheikh Jalal have sustained critical injuries in the attack.
Locals took the victims to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for treatment.
