The country will be divided into three colors zones- red, yellow and green to combat coronavirus (Covid-19) infection. If 30 or more people per 100,000 are infected with coronavirus, the area will be declared as the red zone. A proposal in this regard will be sent to the Prime Minister office on Saturday 6 june. The Prime Minister will give the final decision on Sunday. Sources in the Ministry of Health and Public Administration said this on Saturday.

It is known that the three color zone will be identified through app. Once the victims recover, the road zone will be declared yellow and green zone in phases. The Department of Information and Communication Technology and ATUI is providing technical assistance in this regard.

An official of the Ministry of Health said that as per the decision so far if 30 or more people per one lakh people in Dhaka are infected with coronavirus, the area will be declared as a red zone. If the infected people are more than 3 but less than 30, the area will be declared as Yellow Zone and if there are one or two or none, it will be declared Green Zone.

Habibur Rahman Khan, Additional Secretary (Administration) of the Health Services Department, said the red zone would be kept completely blocked. No one will allow entering or leave the area. Arrangements will be made to reach the essentials of the area.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Public Administration, the corona map will be updated by identifying the mobile numbers of the affected people every day through the app. This map will basically be according to the density of the infection.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said the whole matter is under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister. We will send a list divided into zones to the Prime Minister today. The Prime Minister will decide by adding or subtracting after looking at the overall issue tomorrow.

Responding to a question on which areas may be kept in the red zone initially, the state minister said the areas of Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur and Chattogram where the infection rate is high will be marked as the red zone. In addition, other districts where the infection is high will also be marked as a red zone.

Earlier, after a meeting at the secretariat, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the number of patients are increasing day by day. This trend must be stopped. That is why we will make a plan as per the advice of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This issue has been discussed in principle. The plan will be implemented jointly by the City Corporation, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health.

He further said that the zones would be divided as per the advice of experts. The zone that will be most infected will be closed for a period of time and we will follow the advice of experts.
