State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said there will be general holidays in the most affected areas by COVID-19 by declaring those as ‘red zone’
“Lockdown by zoning – we think it is a very effective measure. So, we’re moving to zone now. Everything will continue as it is now. The holidays will not be announced again. General holidays will be declared in red zone areas,” he told the media on Saturday 13 June afternoon.
Mentioning that the lockdown of East Rajabazar is being implemented experimentally, the State minister for Public Administration said that some mistakes have come out there. “People are still outing there. We will lock down any space by making everything self-sufficient.”
The most infected areas have been selected, also said Farhad Hossain. “We can declare those places red zones,” he said, adding, “We will discuss among ourselves and announce which area will be locked down.”
If it is said in advance, then people will move from one place to another. Public movement in the red zone will be prohibited. Those who need food will be delivered, added State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain.
