Former Health and Family Welfare Minister and Awami League praesidium member Mohammad Nasim passed away on Saturday 13 June morning (Innalillahi wa innailayhi rajiun). His son Tanvir Shakil Joy has confirmed the information.
Awami League’s deputy office secretary Sayem Khan told that Mohammad Nasim breathed his last around 11:00 am at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in Shyamoli in the capital.
On June 5, Mohammad Nasim underwent successful surgery after suffering brain stroke. But since then he had been in a deep coma.
Earlier on June 1, Mohammad Nasim was admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital with shortness of breathing. He tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) on the same day.
