Former Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain has been infected with coronavirus.
Confirming the news Mosharraf Hossain said on Friday, “I had given my samples for test, which came back as positive.” “Currently I am living at home’’, also said the 3 times MP whose son is married to the daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. However, none of his family members have been tested positive, said his son-in-law Md Habib-e Millat, the MP from Sirajganj 2.
Mosharraf Hossain became expatriates’ welfare minister in 2009 and was later made LGRD Minister in the last tenure of Awami League government. Currently, he has been working as president of the Standing Committee on LGRD Ministry.
