Awami League general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister, Obaidul Quader said the Awami League under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina is now stronger and better organized than at any time in the past.
Obaidul Quader made these comments in a briefing from his government residence after paying homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi 32, on the occasion of the 71st founding anniversary of the Awami League.
He said the tradition of the Awami League is to stand by the people in case of natural calamity or any crisis in the country. For the last seven decades, the Awami League has been gaining this confidence from the people in the crisis. “The Awami League works for the people, and the people are our main strength,” he added.
Noting that the Bangladesh Awami League under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina is now more organized and stronger than any time in the past, Obaidul Quader further said, that the leaders and workers are dedicated and vigilant in implementing the party’s decision from the center to the grassroots. The disciplined and united workers of the party are committed to the implementation of the party’s manifesto. “We are working for the welfare of the people of the country by implementing the manifesto.”
The Awami League general secretary said, “Every soldier of Mujib ideology is united under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina for the welfare of the country and the nation with the indestructible spirit of the liberation war.” He said, “In the birth centenary of the father of the nation and in the 50 years of independence, we have to repay the blood debt of the ancestors making Bangladesh a prosperous nation in the world court.”
Therefore, he also pledged to make the motherland suitable for the next generation through joint creative works. “Our pledge will be to build the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu’s dream by uprooting the poisonous tree of communalism with the spirit of the liberation war.”
Referring to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of Bangabandhu, who is now materializing the dream of a golden Bengal, the Minister for Road Transport and Bridges said, “Sheikh Hasina’s goal is not the next election, but the next generation only.”
