Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Benazir Ahmed said that if any policeman takes drugs, bribery or does business, jail is definite for him. The police force cannot have any connection with drugs.
He made the remarks after inaugurating a 200 bedded force camp at the DMP’s Regional Police Lines at Diabari in Uttara on Saturday noon.
The IGP said, “The police force member would not take the drug himself, will not cooperate with anyone. No member of the police force will take any illegal money. Zero corruption will be our goal. And there is no option of taking money from drugs.”
Benazir Ahmed said, “If there is cancer in the body, we remove that part from the body in a very cruel way. If any of our members are involved in such misdeeds, we must remove them from the body called police as cruel and ruthless.”
The IGP further said, “We expect all of us to overcome this crisis (Coronavirus) with the least casualty as directed by the Prime Minister. We have to take the social progress of our country forward. The struggle against poverty must continue. This is the responsibility of all of us. It is not the responsibility of anyone alone.”
He urged all the countrymen to wear masks outside the home. People do not need expensive sanitizer to wash hands. Hands are cleansed by washing hands with normal soap. Hands get cleaned by washing with normal soap.
