Arrested TikTok celebrity Opu, also known as Ofu Bai sent to a metropolitan magistrate court in Dhaka on Tuesday. Earlier he was arrested on charges of assaulting, harassing and beating people in a public place.
He was arrested from Uttara in the capital around 10:30 pm on Monday, said Azizur Talukder, a sub-inspector of Uttara East police station and also the investigating officer of the case.
Uttara East Police Station inspector (investigation) Adil Hossain said that Opu assaulted some public on Sunday evening and a victim later filed a case against him and another person with the police station. Police in the following night arrested Opu from Uttara Sector-6.
TikToker Ofu Bai is a viral topic on social media. TikTok sensation Opu got hundreds of thousands of followers in the Chinese micro video-sharing website, TikTok. It is worth to be mentioned that Opu came into the wide discussion by making various distorted videos on the Chinese app TikTok. There are allegations of creating a new gang culture on social media against several TikTokers including Opu.
