Country’s renowned online news portals will be allowed to register in the second phase, said the Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud. The minister told this to reporters on Wednesday.
Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said “Those who are good, about whom positive reports will come from the investigating agency, will all get a chance to register. There is no reason to worry about this. Online registration is an ongoing process.”
He also said that he published a list of online portals that would be considered eligible before Eid. Based on the investigations of several investigating agencies, he received clearance about 44 online portals. Among them were online editions of 10 dailies. Since the names of many of the daily newspapers have not been mentioned, the ministry has decided to publish the names of the online editions of the daily newspapers at once.
