Thirty members of Chattogram Metropolitan Police have come to Dhaka to donate plasma to the coronavirus victims.
They left the city’s Dampara police line on Wednesday morning for Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital. At that time, the CMP Commissioner greeted them with flowers.
CMP Commissioner Mohammad Mahabubur Rahman said 30 CMP members who recovered from COVID-19 have been sent to Dhaka to give plasma. After providing plasma, they will return to Chattogram.
He said, “Many policemen have been infected while trying to protect the public from the coronavirus. There have also been fatalities. I pray for the forgiveness of the souls of the policemen who lost their lives in Corona.”
The Chattogram Metropolitan Police undertook various activities including distribution of relief materials, setting up hospitals, and creating public awareness on prevention of coronavirus, which is still ongoing.
