The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday (December 22) approved five projects with an outlay of Tk 3,308 crore.
The approval came at the weekly ECNEC meeting held virtually with Prime Minister and ECNEC Chairperson Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
The Prime Minister joined the meeting from Ganobhaban through a videoconference, while other ECNEC members were connected from NEC Bhaban.
Senor Secretary of Planning Commission Md Asadul Islam briefed reporters after the meeting.
Of the total project cost, Tk 1,245.30 crore will come from the government fund, Tk 2042 crore will come from foreign loan while the remaining amount will come from own fund, he said.
