The government is providing importance on health rules not lockdown as coronavirus infection increased, Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said.
The minister said this while addressing a press conference at the secretariat office in the capital on Thursday (December 24).
In reply to a question, about the lockdown plan of the government, he said, earlier the school-colleges were announced shut but the lockdown was not declared. Still, it’s going on. About vacation announcement or limitation of tasks, Hasan Mahmud said, “I think any organization can take such steps if needed.”
“The government had alerted all that coronavirus would be increased during the winter season. That’s why mask-wearing was made mandatory. The government is in a better position in coronavirus control issue comparing neighboring countries,” he added.
