Different police stations and intelligence departments under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 54 people and seized drugs from their possession after conducting anti-drug drives in the capital.
Arrests were made and drugs were seized during the anti-drug drives conducted in different areas of the capital from 6 am on Friday (December 25) till 6 am on Saturday (December 26), according to a DMP press release issued today.
The seized drugs include 968 pieces of yaba, 21 grams of heroine, 1.520 kilograms of hemp and 541 bottles of Phensedyl. A total of 35 cases have been filed against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act.
