Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Dr Benazir Ahmed urged the people who are involved with militancy to return to normal life.
The IGP made the call while addressing a surrender program of nine militants at Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) headquarters office in the capital on Thursday (January 14).
He said, “All of you who are still with militancy, come back. All kinds of steps will be taken to ensure normal life.”
Benazir Ahmed said, “Many militants have been arrested. Now the family members of them are being detached from society due to their militant activities. You guys will not achieve success using cocktail type’s items. Those who are still involved with militancy like wrong way, they have to return to normal life.”
Mentioning the strict position of law enforcers against militancy, he said, police, RAB, detectives, Counter Terrorism Unit and other law enforcers are actively working to curb militancy.
