Two more prison officials have been withdrawn for their alleged involvement in providing special treatment to Hallmark Group General Manager Tushar Ahmed by allowing women to meet the prisoner at the Kashimpur Central Jail-1 in Gazipur. The two officials are Senior Jail Super Ratna Roy of the prison and Jailer Nur Mohammad Mridha.
Earlier on Friday evening, three prison officials were withdrawn and attached to the jail headquarters in the incident. The three officials are deputy district magistrate Mohammad Saqlain, Sergeant Abdul Bari and assistant chief jailor Khalilur Rahman.
Inspector General of Prisons Brigadier General Md Muminur Rahman Mamun said that three officials had initially been attached to the jail headquarters for alleged involvement in the incident. Apart from this, any senior official involved in the incident would be withdrawn immediately.
