A Dhaka court has sent Sheikh Syed Ahmed Manna, councillor of Barishal City Corporation and organizing secretary of Awami League Barishal City unit, to jail.
On Saturday (August 21), Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) produced him before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah and filed to petition to confined him in jail.
Later, the court issued to send him to the Dhaka Central Jail, Keraniganj.
RAB arrested Manna from the capital’s Mohammadpur area over the incident of clash between police and Awami League leaders and activists at official residence of Barishal Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Office (UNO) area.
