Education Minister Dipu Moni has said that educational institutions will be reopened soon across the country. All preparations in this regard have been completed.”
She made the disclosure while addressing a National Mourning Day programme at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital on Tuesday (August 24).
Dipu Moni said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given us instructions from the beginning of the global crisis not to disrupt the educational life of our students, but to prioritize health care. That’s what we’re doing so far. We have adopted various methods so that they do not lag behind in their studies.”
She said, “Hopefully, the way the infection rate is coming down. This is good news for us. If there the decline continues, we will be able to reopen all the educational institutions very soon.”
Speaking about the strategy of reopening educational institutions, the minister said, “But we will reopen the institutions gradually. Because, the number of students in our classroom is more than any other country in the world. It is important to maintain social distance in case of this disease.”
