With 818 new infections across Bangladesh, daily Covid-19 cases in the country dropped to the lowest level seen in four months. This number is the lowest since May 17.
A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the information on Saturday (September 25).
According to the press release, Bangladesh reported 25 deaths from coronavirus in a single day, climbing the national toll to 27,393 across the country so far. Besides, some 818 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 15,50,371 in the country.
Dhaka registered the most daily deaths and new cases among the eight divisions, logging 11 fatalities and 514 infections.
Alongside, as many as 965 Covid-19 patients made recoveries during this time, bringing the total recoveries to 15,10,167 the release said.
Globally, over 231.21 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus and 4.73 million have died, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
