Dhaka University (DU) has announced the date of admission test for the first year undergraduate (honors) class of 2020-2021 academic year. The admission war will start in DU on October 1 through the examination of ‘A’ unit.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. on Wednesday. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said this at a press conference. The press conference was held in the Abdul Matin Virtual Classroom of the University.
The Vice-Chancellor said that this year’s admission test will start with the examination of the Faculty of Science (Unit KA) on October 1. Besides, examinations will be held on October 2 for the Faculty of Arts (Unit KHA), October 22 for the Faculty of Business Education (Unit GA), October 23 for the Faculty of Social Sciences (Unit GHA) and October 9 for the Faculty of Fine Arts (Unit CHA).
DU admission test will be held in 6 divisional cities of the country. Candidates who are residents of Dhaka Division take their exams at Dhaka University, Chittagong Division students take exams at Chittagong University, Rajshahi Division students take exams at Rajshahi University, Khulna Division students take exams at Khulna University, Sylhet Division students take exams at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Rangpur Division students take exams at Begum Rokeya University, Barisal The examination of the students of the department will be held at Barisal University and the admission test of the students of Mymensingh department will be held at Bangladesh Agricultural University.
In the admission test of ‘KA’ unit, 64 candidates will contest for each seat. There will be 20 candidates in KHA unit, 21 candidates in GA unit, 63 candidates in GHA unit and 114 candidates in CHA unit.
1 lakh 18 thousand 958 candidates will contest for 1 thousand 615 seats of ‘KA’ unit. 46,732 people against 2,038 seats in ‘KHA’ unit, 26,384 people against 1,250 seats in ‘GA’ unit, 1,15,071 people against 1,570 seats in ‘GHA’ unit and 135 seats in ‘CHA’ unit, in contrast, 15 thousand 498 students will take part in the admission test.
