In the last 24 hours, 18 more people have been admitted to hospitals across the country due to dengue. However, no new deaths were reported at this time.
The information was given at the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Health Department on Saturday.
Of the new patients, 157 are admitted in Dhaka and the remaining 30 are admitted in different hospitals outside Dhaka.
According to the control room, 1,004 dengue patients are currently being treated at various hospitals across the country. Among them, 794 patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka. The remaining 210 are being treated at various departmental hospitals outside Dhaka.
Since January this year, 18,550 patients have been admitted to various hospitals with dengue fever. Of these, 17, 478 have returned home after recovering.
Meanwhile, so far this year, 68 people have died of dengue fever, according to the health department. Of these, 63 died in Dhaka, 3 in other districts.
