Hundreds of students broke the lock of Amar Ekushey Hall of Dhaka University. Although the university administration has instructed to open the hall on the 5th, the students entered the hall this afternoon before the decision.
Students began to gather at the main entrance of the hall around 3:30 pm on Friday. They later broke the lock of the collapsible gate and entered the hall.
About this, Amar Ekushey Hall Professor Ishtiaq M. Syed said, we sat in the meeting. The next steps will be announced at the end of the meeting.
Proctor Professor AKM Golam Rabbani, who is in charge of maintaining discipline at the university, said, “I have heard the matter.” The administration of the hall will take care of it and we will help them.
