The Taliban have launched an operation in the Paghman district west of the Afghan capital, Kabul. The ruling group in Kabul has arrested four members of ISIS-Khorasan, a branch of the militant group ISIS. The news was published by the Reuters.
Taliban spokesman Jabihullah Mujahid confirmed the information in a tweet on Wednesday (October 8th), the report said. He said four people were detained and a large quantity of weapons and documents were recovered during the operation.
Earlier on October 4, Taliban fighters destroyed a base of the militant group ISIS-Khorasan north of Kabul. The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a mosque in Kabul, killing and injuring several civilians. However, it was not immediately clear if the operation was directly linked to the blast.
