President Mohammad Abdul Hamid will leave Dhaka next Saturday (October 9) for a visit to Germany and the United Kingdom.
Deputy Press Secretary to the President Munshi Jalal Uddin confirmed this on Thursday.
On the same day, he will leave Dhaka for Germany on a Kuwait Airways flight. The tour of Germany will continue till October 16. The President will later pay a four-day visit to London.
Meanwhile, coronal samples of all the officers and employees who will be on duty at Shahjalal International Airport on October 9 are being tested around the President’s visit.
Dr. Shahriar, assistant director of the health department at the airport, said samples were being collected to test whether various officials and employees had corona virus inside the airport from Thursday morning on the occasion of President Mohammad Abdul Hamid’s visit abroad on October 9. Samples of 360 people have been taken till 1:15 pm.
After a two-week visit, the President is scheduled to return to the country on October 22, said the Deputy Press Secretary to the President.
