The number of dengue cases is increasing across the country. In the first week of October, about 1,500 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, 4 more people died due to dengue.
In all, the number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital this year stood at 19,694, and 73 people died.
This information was provided by the regular dengue report of the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Health Department on Friday (October 8) afternoon.
It is said that in the last 24 hours, 150 new dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital. Among them, 137 have been admitted to various government and private hospitals in the capital Dhaka and 13 to various hospitals outside Dhaka.
The department said most of the dengue patients admitted to the hospital and those who died were residents of the capital.
