After nearly 21 months, cricket fans are getting the opportunity to watch the game at the home ground again. With upcoming Bangladesh vs Pakistan series, fans will get the opportunity to enjoy the game from the gallery. As a result, the ticket seekers were overcrowded in Mirpur stadium to watch the game.
The BCB banned spectators from entering the stadium after the Zimbabwe series in March 2020 due to an increase in the outbreak of coronavirus. At present, Tiger fans are getting the opportunity to watch the game from the gallery as the COVID infection rate in the country is decreasing.
Tickets for the first T20 match which will be held on November 19 are being sold today (Thursday) at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur only.
Although the visitors return, more than 50 percent of the capacity of the ticket is not being given. With this, conditions were imposed — those who took the double dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, only they will get a chance to watch the game by showing the vaccine certificate.
Meanwhile, ticket sales have started at 9 am. Ticket booths will be open till 7 pm subject to the availability of tickets. However, it has been seen on the spot that the supporters have been waiting since 6 am to buy tickets. A long quo of ticket seekers was seen around 10 am.
According to BCB sources, tickets are available in 5 categories – where the maximum ticket price is Tk 1000, the minimum is Tk 100. Tickets for Grand Stand are being sold at Tk 1000, VIP Stand at Tk 500, Club House at Tk 300, Southern-Northern Stand at Tk 150 and Eastern Stand Gallery tickets will be available at Tk 100.
If there are enough tickets on the day of the match after the sale at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, the tickets will be sold at the booth adjacent to the stadium (adjacent to gate no. 1).
