A private university student was crushed to death under a lorry at airport area in the capital on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Mahadi Hassan Limon, a fourth-year student in textile engineering at Green University. He was a son of Mojammel Haque, a resident of Domdoma village under Panchbibi upazila in the Joypurhat district.
Confirming the information, Airport Police Station SI Asad Sheikh said that a lorry hit Limon’s motorcycle in front of Padma Oil Company near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 3:00 am to 4:00 am, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police rushed to the spot and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). The body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy
Police seized the killer lorry but its driver and his assistant managed to flee the scene.
